Massive Clear Lucite Clamper Bracelet

You may remember that I posted this same bracelet in black Lucite a few months back. In the description I mentioned my friend having a clear version that I have envied for some time. She found hers in Paris, and I found mine in San Francisco this past week. This is a show stopping piece and I am hesitant to part with it, so it is priced accordingly.

Lucite Ring Earrings

These earrings exploit the contrast between the hand hammered and the factory produced, the perfectly round and the slightly askew, the modern and the old world.

Clear Lucite Bangle

Another flat Lucite bangle, this time in a clear finish. These are great for layering.

Lucite Ball Earrings

These are probably my favorite in the lot. Large Lucite balls dangling from a goldtone wax seal. The Lucite pieces are topped with cute swirl hats. This pair is unsigned.

Ketchup and Mustard, part 2

Ketchup and Mustard, part 1

How lucky I am that my friend and vintage afficianado Lisa decided to part with these two fabulous Lucite bracelets. I endearingly call them ketchup and mustard obviously because of their color, and less obviously because I want to eat them up! They look great as a pair (very Ronald McDonald) or alone. They are very similar to the marbelized Lucite bracelet from a previous post.

Massive Black Lucite Clamper Bracelet

So, my friend Kirsten has this same bracelet, which she found at a Paris flea market, in clear Lucite. I love it and think about it often, and assumed I would have to go to Paris to find another one. Imagine my surprise at finding a black one here in Southern California. I should have photographed it on someone since the weight and size are difficult to capture otherwise. Take my word for it, this piece is massive. The closure is magnetic and is located under the goldtone design.

Fuschia Lucite Bangle

Same as the one below, but in fuschia.

Cranberry Lucite Bangle

This deadstock 1980's Lucite bangle really has me excited. I've seen these before, but they've always been out of reach- either too expensive, or part of someone else's collection. They are too cost prohibitive to make now. They are flat and thick, so that they stand away from your arm as you're wearing it, which is quite a dramatic effect. I have a fushia one too, which I will post next.

Pink Lucite Swirl Bracelet

This vintage Lucite bracelet takes the shape of a coil or a spring. It fits perfectly with the colorful, chunky accessories we're seeing this spring.

Spring Color: Rainbow Lucite Bracelet

The matching bracelet to the necklace I posted a few days ago. Wearing them together might be too much so I gave them a little room to breathe on the blog as well.

Spring Color: Rainbow Lucite Necklace

I'm feeling bright, bold colors in accessories for spring. I know everyone is doing layered colors and textures like patchwork but I'm thinking a cleaner approach works better with the prints we're seeing in clothing. I love the colors in this necklace, which has a matching bracelet I'll post separately. The lucite drops remind me of gummy bears in both their color and shine. It is missing two of the secondary drops but, like an old chandelier, missing pieces can add to the charm of a found object.

80's Bijan Lucite Napkin Rings

These were probably a gift-with-purchase giveaway with some Bijan fragrance. As you know I love Lucite so I really love these elephant napkin rings, despite this unfortunate history. I have four boxes of these - which makes a 16 piece set. Can't wait to have a big dinner party and put them to use!

Lucite Earring Collection

As many of you know, I love love love Lucite. I love it colored and I love it clear. I love it faceted or smooth and rounded. Mostly I love it thick. I found these earrings (and some others) today after a tip from my boyfriend. They've already been placed in my case at Wertz Brothers and are priced at $65 per pair.

Black Lucite Chain Necklace

This is the black one!

Brown Lucite Chain Necklace

I got this last week- there were two, one in brown and one in black. I love them both equally and I hope to keep them together. Whomever adopts them must treat them like siblings and never split them up!

Elegant Abalone Serving Tray

While I don't normally post non-fashion related decorative objects, I couldn't resist sharing with you a picture of this North Carolina find. Yes I'm still here and I found this beautiful abalone and resin serving tray. It has silver toned handles and a thick layer of clear resin protecting the natural abalone.

Pink Lucite Earrings Judith Hendler

Collectors have been going crazy over Judith Hendler's vintage Lucite jewelry. I can't be certain that these are by Hendler, but they are certainly in her style. The dangling pieces are hand cut and polished and not flat as they appear in the photos. They have nice depth and visual weight to them. They are a great color and in perfect condition.

Clear Lucite Cuffs

I'm not done with my lucite collection just yet.. a few more pieces to go.. I love these clear cuffs. They are wide but not heavy. The photo does not show the shape as well as it should but the opening for one's arm is perfectly round and the outside is more of a convex square shape. Be daring and wear one on each arm like a mod wonder woman!

Lucite Donut Earrings

I am calling these "donut" earrings because I want to eat them up! Also because the round shape is plump and full just like a donut. My favorite donut is a jelly donut but I actually like honey buns more than donuts. Now I'm hungry!
